Police warns car dealers driving beyond stipulated time in FCT

The Commissioner of Police (CP) of the FCT, Benneth Igweh, has warned car dealers who drive beyond the stipulated time of between 6am and 6pm in the nation’s capital.

CP Igweh, while speaking with newsmen on Saturday, said Section 25 (5) of the FCT Road Transport Regulation Act, 2005, only provided that car dealers should drive around the city within the period of 6am to 6pm.

He also warned the car dealers against parking vehicles in unauthorised lots, saying defaulters would be made to face the full wrath of the law.

He also ordered a clamp down on vehicles without number plates, saying several cases of robbery, popularly known as “one chance”, were mostly associated with vehicles with single or no number plates.
