The police in Ondo State have cautioned residents not to embark on any protest against the lingering fuel and new naira notes scarcity.
Some youths have fixed Wednesday for the protest in Akure to express displeasure with the situation in the country.

But speaking at a stakeholders meeting on Monday, the Commissioner of Police (CP), Oyeyemi Oyediran, warned that the protest could lead to a breach of peace.
The CP, according to a statement by the command’s spokesman, Funmilayo Omisanya, explained that embarking on a protest at the moment was not healthy “considering the current security situation of the state; for it not to be hijacked by hoodlums or used as a means to perpetrate other heinous crimes.”
