Anambra State Police has vowed to arrest the killers of some officers along Ezeiwka road, Awada, Onitsha Anambra State.
Daily Trust reports that gunmen in the early hours of Sunday killed unspecified number of policemen on duty in Onitsha, also setting their operational vehicle ablaze.

The state command spokesman, Dsp Ikenga Tochukwu, in a statement on Sunday, said the command has intensified patrol and surveillance in the state especially within Onitsha axis aimed of identifying and arresting the perpetrators of the Sunday attack.
He said preliminary investigation by the police revealed that at about 9.30am on 19/09/2021 the attackers drove in sienna vehicle, ash in colour and started shooting at the patrol vehicle along Ukegbu junction, Ezeiweka road.
He said that during the exchange of gunfire, one police inspector paid the supreme price and some sustained gunshots injuries.
He said the criminals in a bid to escape the police responding team, set the patrol vehicle ablaze.
He also said that the command was not deterred with the recent incident but are more committed in delivering in their mandate on protection of lives and properties.
