The Nigerian Police has won four out of the seven trophies that were at stake to emerge champions in the just concluded Nigerian Air Force Inter-Agency completion held in Kano.

The week-long competition, organised by the NAF ended last Saturday with a football game between Nigeria Police and Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, held at the Nigeria Air Force Base, Kano.

In the football final, the police team defeated its counterpart from the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence (NSCDC) 3-1.

The police team scored two goals in the first half and added the third few minutes into the second half, while the NSCDCb reduced the tally few minutes to the end of the game.

Nine security agencies participated in seven different games in the week-long competition.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, the Air Officer of the Commanding Training Command Kaduna, Air Vice Marshall Christopher Emeka Okoye, represented by Air Commodore Ibrahim Ali, said the competition was organised to strengthening relationship among security agencies.

He charged the participating security agencies to view the completion as a platform for enhancing unity and understanding among law enforcement agencies.

In his remarks, the Commandant of the 455 Base Services Group Kano, Abubakar Sadique Liman, congratulated police for emerging overall winner in the this year’s NAF Inter-Agency competition.
