Police to arrest members of disbanded organizations

The Commissioner of Police in Abuja, Mr John Haruna said security agencies have advised the police to dissolve the organizations because they pose security threat to the country and subsequently they were cancelled. He said those who refuse to comply with the order banning them will be arrested and prosecuted.

“Some of these organizations present themselves to foreigners as genuine government agencies with absolute rights. They wear uniforms and ranks similar to the police and the military thereby creating identity problems and overlapping duties,” he said.
