It was gathered that the incident occurred at the Monkey Roundabout close to the EFCC office in Enugu.

Commenting on the development, the Enugu State Police Command confirmed that there was a shooting but said that the victims are alive.

In a release issued by the Enugu Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSO Daniel Ndukwe blamed the driver for reckless driving leading to his arrest by the police on duty.

“The driver, rather than stop, recklessly zoomed off, knocking down one of the operatives and pulling him along to a distance of about four poles, before he was forced to stop by the other members of the team, who immediately went after him.
