A police sergeant, who allegedly shot his lover in the mouth before fleeing the scene, has been arrested.
Daily Trust reported that Sergeant Eze Aiwansone, attached to the Special Protection Unit (SPU), Base 16, Ikeja, had allegedly shot his girlfriend, Joy Eze, at Opebi road, Ikeja, on October 7, 2020, before bolting away.

Following the report, Lagos State Police Command placed him on its wanted list.
Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, who confirmed the arrest, said the suspect had been on the run for over three weeks.
Adejobi said: “The suspect, who had been on the run, was arrested by his elder brother who is an Inspector of police in Lagos State and handed him over to the command.
