Adesina was dethroned by the Ondo State government for allegedly assaulting his wife, Olori Bolanle.
Inspector General of Police, Ogbonna Onovo, had told the Senate that the deposed monarch was found guilty of assaulting his wife and will be charged for assault, conspiracy and conduct likely to cause a breach of the peace.
The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Bala Nassarawa, told Onovo at the meeting of senior police officers in Abuja, that the embattled monarch has not been charged to court because some basic facts are required in the process. “There is nitty-gritty to be resolved,” he told Onovo.
He said the matter has been referred to the Department of Public Prosecution (DPP) in the state ministry of Justice, for advice.
