Police sack 7 officers for extortion in Imo

The Imo State Police command has dismissed seven corps for alleged extortion.

The Commissioner of Police,  Mohammed Barde, who disclosed this at an interactive session with newsmen in Owerri on Thursday, said the arrest of the police officers was sequel to complaints from members of the public that some policemen used Sienna van to pick people, take them to obscure places and extort money from them.
