Three persons abducted from an 18 passenger bus on Lagos –Ore express road by kidnappers two days ago have been rescued by policemen of the Ondo state command.
The victims said to be passengers in the bus were said to be traveling from Imo state to Lagos in an 18 seater bus when they ran into the kidnappers who waylaid them.
Spokesman for the Ondo police command, Mr Femi Joseph gave names of the rescued victims as- Nwosu Virgina, Opara Oluchi and Okechueka Johnson.
The command also paraded a gang of seven men said to have been arrested with dangerous weapons.
The men according to Joseph were nabbed at a village in Owo Local Government Area of the State .
He said the men all from the northern part of the country were arrested with locally made guns, cartridges and gun powder.
"They claimed to be hunters who left the north to come and engaged in a hunting expenditure.
“So we found their story to be too good to be true and we will dig into their claim, to find out if they are actually telling us the truth.
"And If it is in the negative, your guess is good as mine where they will be taken to" he added.
He also said that the officers rescued three victims abducted by a gang of kidnappers on the notorious Ore – Lagos express road.
He added that two men – Sunday Fatoki and Adamu Muhammed both natives of Ogbomoso in Oyo state who specialize in buying stolen goods were arrested.
According to him, the men were nabbed with a stolen Toyota Camry vehicle
