The police in Nasarawa State have rescued two persons from a kidnappers’ den at Jeje Jijipe village in Karu LGA.
In a statement on Tuesday, the command’s spokesman, DSP Ramhan Nansel, said the victims had since been reunited with their families.
He said the police in Karshi received a complaint about the abduction of security guards of a firm under construction and that following the directive of the Commissioner of Police, Maiyaki Mohammed-Baba, detailed operatives led by CSP Nnamdi Udobor to hunt down the kidnappers and rescue the victims.
He further said, “The search paid off with the arrest of one Stephen Jonah (32) from Tafa LGA of Kaduna State.
“In the course of investigation, the suspect led the police to their enclave at Hilltop, Jeje Jijipe village where two victims: Sadiq Abubakar Jibril and Danladi Aku, were rescued.”
