The Delta state police command has refuted the claim that a staff member of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) at the Warri-Itakpe train service was kidnapped in Agbor area of the state.
DSP Bright Edafe, the Public Relations Officer of the command, made this known to City & Crime on Wednesday.
Our correspondent gathered that two staff members of the corporation were reportedly kidnapped last week Thursday.
It was learnt that the personnel were allegedly abducted at Owa-Oyinbu by gunmen who ambushed their vehicle and whisked them off to an undisclosed location.

The victims were identified as Peter Osazuwa, STCI Level 10 officer in Operations and Commercial Department and Giwa Mohammed, Level 9 Officer in the Stores and Procurement Department.
But speaking on the incident, the command’s image maker, said the information was false and had never occurred.
According to him, no NRC staff was kidnapped in Agbor.
“I do not understand what sort of kidnap occurred that the NRC Management, even the Area Command here in the state is not aware of,” he said.
