Police recover property stolen by killers of Rivers DPO

The Rivers State Police Command said it has recovered four generating sets stolen by one David Gift, alias 2Baba, the prime suspect in the killing of SP Bako Agbashim, the murdered Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ahoada Division.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Operations in Rivers, Olugbenga Adepoju, made the disclosure Thursday while handing over the four 20KVA generators the police recovered from 2Baba’s hideout which he seized from a company for not paying him a N20m royalty, called in local parlance, “matching ground”.

He said a police team was on a manhunt for the criminal when they stumbled on the generators and recovered them for the company, adding that they were still on the trail of 2Baba.
