After three days of searching, the corpse was said to have been discovered at the back of a hotel at Ugbe Akoko in Akoko Northeast Local Government Area of the state.

The Divisional Police Officer for Ikare Akoko, Mr Olatujoye Akinwale, confirmed the discovery of the corpse which he said had been released to the family for burial.
The father of late Motunrayo, Mr Ade John, a commercial motorcyclist from Iboropa Akoko, described the death of his daughter as shocking, sad and devastating.
He recounted how he gave the deceased N200 as transport fare from Ikare to Iboropa on the fateful day as he would not be available to pick her home.
The mother of the deceased, Mrs Aduke John, described her late daughter as kind and responsible.
An Education Secretary in the area, Mr Femi Kure, described the incident as very sad, urging schools and parents to have synergy on the safety of students.
