The Osun State Police Command has summoned the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state over allegations of cyberstalking and cyberbullying by the state governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke.
It was gathered that Sooko Tajudeen Lawal was invited by the police pursuant to a petition signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Legal Matters, Nurudeen Kareem.
Accompanied by his counsels, Waliu Salimon Adebayo and Muhydeen Adeoye Galadima, the APC chairman honoured the police invitation at the police headquarters in Osogbo, the state capital, where he denied the allegations against him.
Speaking with our correspondent after his statement was taken and allowed to leave, the APC chairman said, “I was told by the police that they petitioned me that I was bullying Governor Ademola Adeleke. I went there and told them the allegations were unfounded, as I didn’t know anything about them. I went there, and I have left them.”

It was further gathered that the petition was a result of the activities of social media users in the state, which the governor believed were working for the APC chairman.
The spokesperson of the police command, SP Yemisi Opalola, confirmed the invitation of the APC chairman and added that the Commissioner of Police in the state, Muhammad Abba, had ordered a diligent investigation into the allegations.
