The Nasarawa State Police Command has launched an investigation into the recent killing of farmers by gunmen at Kadarko, Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State.
Shehu Nadada, the Commissioner of Police in the state, disclosed this in a telephone chat with Daily Trust in Lafia, the state capital on Monday.
According to Nadada, the reported death toll is three individuals, contrary to earlier claims of six deaths.
Our correspondent had reported that two persons were killed at Tse-Abir Azer community in Kadarko last week Friday while three others were shot on Sunday morning, including a Fulani herder.

The commissioner stated that the police have launched a comprehensive investigation to apprehend the perpetrators of these killings.
He attributed the attacks to a land dispute between Eggon and Tiv farmers in the area.
The police boss said no arrest had been made yet in connection to the killing of farmers in the state.
