Bankole told the beneficiaries that the financial support was to alleviate their hardship following the deaths of their breadwinners.

The police boss stated that the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Usman Alkali Baba, was concerned about the welfare of the families left behind by the fallen heroes, adding that he would ensure that their other benefits were paid to their next of kin.

One of the widows, Mariam Adekunle, commended the police authority for the support, saying that it would ease the financial difficulties of the families.
