The FCT Police Command has paraded a robbery suspect, Ogbonna Ezechukwu, and a suspected kidnappers’ informant, Mohammed Suleiman.
The Commissioner of Police (CP), Garba Haruna, on Wednesday, said Ezechukwu was arrested following a distress call of a robbery at the residence of one Dayo Balogun of Zone B Apo Resettlement.
He said police operatives from the Apo Division mobilised to the scene and apprehended the suspect, who he noted was a notorious and wanted armed robber who had broken into many homes within the Apo axis with the members of his gang that were presently at large.

He said a bag containing gold earrings, a laptop, four wristwatches and other valuables were recovered from the suspect, noting that the suspect was assisting the police in an effort to arrest his accomplices.
CP Garba said that in a related development a suspected kidnappers’ informant, Mohammed Suleiman, was arrested by his men following credible intelligence information, adding that the suspect had confessed to be an informant and food supplier to kidnappers terrorising Mpape and Byazhin axes in Bwari Area Council.
He further said the suspect was a close associate of two wanted bandits’ leaders, Buba and Nasiru, for carrying out tasks for them for which he was rewarded with cash ranging from N10,000 to N15,000.
