Adamawa State Police Command has paraded a total of 86 suspected criminals over several offences including kidnapping and robbery.
Parading the suspects in Yola, the Adamawa State Police commissioner, Audu Adamu Madaki said the success was achieved through constant patrol of criminal hide outs in the 21 local areas in the state.
Madaki noted that 65 of the suspects were accused of armed robbery and possession of stolen property while 21 others were paraded for kidnapping, criminal conspiracy and unlawful possession of fire arms.
Items recovered from the kidnappers include five AK47 rifles, 18 cartridges, 276 rounds of live ammunition.
Dangerous weapons found in possession of members of Shila gang included cutlasses, daggers and scissors. A total of 95 mobile phones as well as large quantity of Indian hemp and other hard drugs were also recovered.
