The police in Benue State on Tuesday paraded seven suspects arrested from various locations of the state.
The Commissioner of Police, Wale Abass, who paraded the suspects at the command’s headquarters in Makurdi, said that the Ember Months were here again and that desperate criminal minded persons had begun their escapades.

He said the command, in an effort to flush out criminals, killed one armed robber and arrested seven others for crimes including kidnapping, assassination attempt, armed robbery and banditry.
The CP, represented by the command’s spokesperson, SP Catherine Anene, said the suspects were arrested in separate operations by men of Operation Zenda who recovered firearms including a fabricated AK-47 rifle and pistols, nine ammunition, 19 cartridges and 13 phones from them.
Abass said that the suspects included two brothers who planned to kidnap and assassinate the Chairman of Katsina-Ala LGA, Alfred Atera.
