The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) yesterday paraded 56 suspected over allegation of banditry and belonging to a militia.
A statement by Police spokesman, ACP Jimoh Moshood described the arrest as a major ýbreakthrough in cracking down criminals responsible for several killings.
He said the suspects are also responsible for kidnappings, armed robberies, car snatching and cattle rustling.
He said they were responsible for dealing in unlawful possession of prohibited firearms in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area of Kaduna State and other villages and towns in Zamfara State.
