Police parade 3 women, 16 others over fraud in Ekiti

The Ekiti State Police Command has paraded three women suspected to have defrauded a filling station owner of N7.9 million in Ilawe-Ekiti and 16 other suspects in the state. 

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr. Ogundare Dare, said the suspects, Olaiya Oluwaseyi, Omotosho Seun and Ajayi Funke, were pump attendants in a filling station where the fraudulent act occurred and they were arrested on October 10.

The CP said during interrogation, the suspects confessed to the crime and said that the money was shared to solve personal issues.

He listed items recovered from them to include two generators, two 32 inches plasma TV, two washing machines, two standing fans, one big industrial sewing machines, one electric iron, one oven toaster machines, one DVD player, empty cartons of phones, one star time decoder, set of upholstery chairs, substance suspected to be charm and a sum of N250,000 suspected to be proceed of the stolen money.
