The police in Kaduna State have ordered a manhunt for three suspected killers of a corps member, Grace Chayla Silas in the Barnawa area of the state.
It would be recalled that Silas, a female corps member serving in Kaduna, was attacked and killed on October 18 at 06:45 hours while she was having her physical fitness workout in the Barnawa area of the metropolis.
She was attacked by three yet-to-be-identified individuals on a motorcycle, who attempted to rob her of her mobile phone.
The commissioner of police in the state, Musa Yusuf Garba, received a delegation from the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), led by the zonal director, North West, Mr Kehinde Aremu Cole, in his office on Friday and expressed condolences to the director-general and staff of the organisation, the deceased’s immediate family members, her corps colleagues and friends.

CP Garba emphasized his commitment to bringing her assailants to justice and ensuring the safety of corps members in their lodges.
The NYSC zonal director, who was accompanied by the state director, Mr Hassan Mahmud Taura and other members of staff, also requested increased collaboration between the police and the NYSC to enhance the security of corps members, particularly in their lodges.
