Operatives of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) police command have arrested the commander of Fulani Miyetti vigilante, Umar Adamu, for allegedly supplying ammunition to bandits.
The FCT police commissioner, CP Benneth Igweh, who disclosed this while parading the suspect at the command in Abuja on Thursday, said the suspect was also a wanted bandits’ informant and logistics supplier.
He said the suspect was arrested by operatives of the command attached to Utako and Kubwa police divisions during a joint operation in Agyana in Abaji Area Council and Chikara, which borders Kogi and the FCT.

He also disclosed that another suspect, Abdulrahman Abubakar, a native of Kogi State, was arrested in connection with the abduction along the Abuja-Lokoja highway, where a travelling Hummer bus was hijacked and its occupants kidnapped.
CP Igweh said the suspects would soon be charged to court upon conclusion of investigation.
