Police nab two POS ‘robbers’

The Kogi State Police Command has arrested two suspects who specialise in robbing Point of Sales (POS) operators in the state.

The suspects – Timothy James and Comfort, were arrested following intelligence reports, a statement signed by spokesman of the command, Williams Aya, said.

He said the suspects robbed their victim, one Jammai Maryam Bashir, of the sum of N50,000 along Cemetery Road in Lokoja at about 9.45 pm on Thursday.

Aya said the victim was tricked into believing that they were deliverers sent to minister to her, adding that efforts were ongoing to arrest other members of the syndicates for possible prosecution.
