Police nab suspected motorcycle snatchers in Osogbo

Two suspected motorcycle snatchers have been arrested by men of the Osun State Police Command in Osogbo, the state capital. 

The Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Wale Olokode, paraded the suspects, Jelili Jimoh and Olowokere Mojeed, at the police headquarters in Osogbo, the state capital. 

The suspects were arrested for stealing Bajaj motorcycles at different locations in Osogbo.

The CP said police patrol team arrested Jelili at Aregbe area after he was mobbed by angry people who wanted to lynch him for snatching the bike. 

He said Olowokere was apprehended at Dada Estate area, Osogbo where he snatched a Bajaj motorcycle with registration number OSUN AAW 54 DE. 

Speaking with Daily Trust, the suspects confessed that they stole a motorcycle. They said it was their first time snatching a motorcycle. 

The Commissioner of Police said the suspects would be charged to court after the completion of investigation.
