The police in Bauchi State have arrested 20 criminals including a syndicate which specialized in raping children and adults in the state.
The state command’s spokesman, DSP Ahmed Mohammed Wakili, said on June 10, operatives from the command on a tip-off arrested one Abdullahi Muazu aged 32 and Adamu Idris, aged 22, all members of the syndicate in Azare, Katagum LGA.
“Suspected to have engaged themselves in sexual intercourse against the other of nature upon investigation, the suspects confessed and mentioned members of the syndicate and the operatives swung into action and arrested them,” he said. The statement also disclosed the arrest of a 28 year old who raped eight female children.
