The operatives of the Nigeria Police FCT Command have arrested an ex-convict and five others for alleged armed robbery.
The Commissioner of Police Benneth Igweh, who disclosed this while parading the suspects on Friday, said the suspects were arrested by the police attached to Utako Divisional Headquarters, Abuja.
He said the suspects were arrested on Thursday, at about 11pm during a coordinated raid operation at an uncompleted hospital building at Utako village.
According to him, exhibits recovered from them include a locally made pistol, two live cartridges and wraps of substances suspected to be marijuana.

Further investigation about the recovered ammunition led to the arrest of one Yusuf Iliyasu aka Tablet, who is an ex-convict and the syndicate leader.
CP Igwe, who said an investigation is ongoing, assured residents of the command’s unwavering commitment to make Abuja a hell for criminals and to ensure the safety of all.
