Operatives of the FCT Police Command have arrested eight notorious “one chance” robbery suspects in Abuja.
The Commissioner of Police (CP), Mr Benneth Igweh, who disclosed this while parading the suspects on Wednesday, said they were arrested by men from the Mabushi Division on Tuesday at about 4pm.
He gave the names of the suspects as Ismail Hudu, Sylvester Poto, Abdulsalam Mamuda, Sunday Udoma, Ifeoma Ngoze Obodo, Muhammed Telegbe and Serah Mohammed.
He said the suspects were arrested following a credible intelligence report for being responsible for several “one chance” robbery activities, and that they were trailed to Central Area, Abuja, where they attempted to rob residents.

CP Igweh further said the suspects who had confessed to using toy guns and knives to scare their victims would be charged to court after the conclusion of investigation.
He also disclosed that 79 other suspects were arrested during another raid on some black spots at Trademore, Galadimawa, Maitama and Gwagwalada.
