The FCT police command has arrested five suspected armed robbers at Wuse Zone 1, Abuja.
The commissioner of police in the FCT, Bala Ciroma, who disclosed this while parading the suspects at the command headquarters in Abuja, on Monday, said they were arrested by the police operatives from Wuse division while robbing people of their valuables.

He said the suspects have confessed during interrogation to being responsible for criminal activities along Wuse axis.
He gave the names of the suspects as Sanusi Ibrahim, Salim Umar, Kabiru Umar, Shamsudeen Rabiu and Ibrahim Shehu.
According to him, some exhibits recovered from the suspects included eight gold wristwatches, five iPads, five laptops, 25 ID cards and ATM cards, 33 sets of gold and silver pieces of jewelry.
He added that 30 UAE Dirham, three 3,000 CFA notes, 100 South African Rand, N25,000, three cutlasses and one sword, were recovered from them, saying the suspects would be arraigned in court upon conclusion of investigation.
The commissioner appealed to residents of the territory to promptly report all suspicious movements within their vicinity.
