Police nab 2 suspected drug peddlers in Abuja

The FCT Police Command has arrested two suspected drug peddlers along Airport Road, Abuja.

In a statement, the command’s spokesman, DSP Anjuguri Manzah, gave the names of the suspects as Nura Abdullahi and Habib Ali.

He said the suspects were arrested by the police operatives from the command’s anti-narcotics unit, following a tip off, and that during the arrest, the suspects were found to be in possession of 120 wraps of dried leaves suspected to be Indian hemp and over two kilogrammes of raw cannabis (marijuana plant) and illicit drugs such as diazepam and tramadol.

Manzah further said the suspects would be handed over to the officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) for further investigation and prosecution.
