Police in Bauchi have arrested another suspected kidnappers’ informant who also supplies food and logistics to the criminals.
A statement by the Bauchi State Police Command’s spokesperson, SP Haruna Mohammed stated that Police detectives attached to Anti-kidnapping unit of the Command arrested the suspect Abdullahi Goma of Gilliri village in Bauchi LGA.
According to the statement, the suspect allegedly confessed to be showing targets, negotiating ransom with hostages’ families on behalf of the kidnappers and supplying food and logistics to kidnappers at Runde mountain in Bauchi.
The statement added that a Gionee handset confirmed to be used for negotiating ransom with families of hostages abducted by kidnappers was also recovered from him.
The police noted that the case is under investigation and efforts are being intensified to apprehend his accomplices.
It could be recalled that the police had some weeks earlier apprehended a suspected kidnappers’ informant in the state.
