Police launch manhunt for owners of dogs having sex with women in Lagos

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is on the trail of some people who pay women to have sex with their dogs in Lagos State, while vowing to also arrest and prosecute the women involved.

Spokesman of the police, CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, who revealed this in Abuja, described the development as “barbaric”, arguing that their offence was punishable under the law.

He said, “Unnatural offences: We will extend our search, investigation and punishment to the owners of the dogs caught in the act of having sexual intercourse with ladies or being used for similar offences.

“They also have questions to answer. The offence is punishable under the law; thus condemned. We will soon apprehend the ladies and others like them, including the men, who have been involved in this criminal and barbaric act.”

Checks by our reporter show that the Criminal Code Act and the Penal Code Act criminalise sleeping with animals and the act attracts up to 14 years imprisonment in Nigeria.

It would be recalled that a light-skinned woman in a trending video on TikTok claimed she was paid N1.5m to sleep with a dog.
