The Delta State Police Command has said that its men have killed a suspected kidnapper who built a 15-room duplex from the proceeds of kidnapping.
DSP Bright Edafe, spokesman of the command, said the suspect was one of two suspects and that an AK-47 rifle was recovered from them.
He noted that the killed suspect who was also involved in internet fraud (Yahoo Yahoo) allegedly used the proceeds from kidnapping to build a 15-room duplex in Orogun in Ughelli North LGA.
He also disclosed that two suspects who specialise in snatching vehicles in Asaba, Warri, Ughelli and environs had been arrested.
He gave the names of the suspects as Phillip Ekugbe and Onome Erikefe; both of Ekpan community in Effurun.
He added that another suspect, Emmanuel Chidera (22), a car washer, was arrested in Asaba for allegedly stealing a Mercedes Benz saloon belonging to a customer, and that during interrogation the suspect confessed that he took the car to Benin City in Edo State where he intended to sell it.
