Police kill robbery suspect in Kebbi

The Kebbi State Police Command has said it killed a member of a robbery gang and arrested one other during a gun duel with the criminal gang at Laga village, Tsamiya area of Bagudo LGA.

 The gang is said to be responsible for the attack and kidnapping of one Alhaji Ado at Sanji village and Alhaji Muhammadu at Tungar Gyado, all in Tsamiya area of Bagudo where they collected the sum of N3,500,000 as ransom.

Woman, 35, in remand over son’s strangling

 The state police commissioner, Magaji Kontagora, said the robbers had invaded the residence of one Alhaji Adamu at Laga village, attacked and kidnapped him. 

 “On receipt of the information, a team of policemen responded and one of the suspects, Angulu was killed and three AK47 rifles, two fabricated Dane guns, one locally made pistol, 47 Ak47 live ammunitions and seven live cartridges were recovered from him,” he said.
