Operatives of the Yobe State Police Command have shot dead a suspected kidnapper and arrested one other after clashes in Fika and Fune LGAs.
The Commissioner of Police (CP), Ahmed Garba, told journalists in Damaturu that the Fune incident happened during exchange of fire between the personnel and suspects.
He added that the operatives in Fika Division also arrested one Kabir Sani at the Ngalda Market for kidnapping, homicide and robbery.

According to him, the suspect was apprehended with an AK-47 rifle, a revolver, a motorcycle and SIM cards of different brands.
He noted that there were so many kidnapping instances in Fika and Fune LGAs and other areas of the state, saying the command was on top of the situation to curtail the menace.
