Two suspected armed robbers have been shot dead by the police in Dutsen Baupma, Abuja.
City News learnt that the suspected robbers stormed the area around 10.00p.m. and raided a shop belonging to one Paul Nwiwu.
The source said they were still operating in the area when a police team arrived at the scene following an alert from a resident.
“Two of the hoodlums were gunned down during the exchange of fire, while one locally made pistol and four rounds of  live ammunition were recovered from them,” the source added.
The source said that the remains of the deceased were later deposited at the Kubwa General hospital.
When contacted, the Dutsen Alhaji Divisional Police Officer (DPO), CSP Aisha Yusuf, confirmed the incident, adding that efforts are on to arrest the other suspects.
