A police inspector, Jonathan Company, attached to the Mounted Troop of the Nigeria Police Force, has been arrested for allegedly killing one Jelili Bakare.
The inspector had allegedly shot the deceased during a minor argument which erupted between the two at Quinkx Lounge, Sangotedo, in Lagos State.

It was learnt that the police officer bolted after the incident.
It was further gathered that on hearing the unfortunate incident, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, Hakeem Odumosu, ordered a manhunt for the fleeing suspect.
Confirming the arrest, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Muyiwa Adejobi, said the state police boss and his management team have paid a condolence visit to the family of late Jelili Bakare.
Adejobi said the inspector was arrested over the death of Jelili.
“The police boss has also ordered that the inspector be tried in an orderly room and charged to court in no time as the family of the deceased deserves justice on the matter,” he said.
