Police, hunters arrest 3 kidnappers, rescue 1 victim in Borno

A joint team of police and hunters has arrested three members of a kidnapping gang in their hideout at Sakasimta village, Hawul Local Government of Borno State.

Daily Trust gathered that the operation, which also led to the rescue of a kidnapped victim, one Manu Adamu, was conducted following a tip-off to the team.

The Borno Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Sani Muhammed, confirmed the arrest of the kidnappers and rescue of the victim.

Muhammed gave the names of the arrested kidnappers as Buje Jalo, Buba Manu and Abdullahi Abubakar, adding that the suspects were helping investigators towards arresting the others still at large and rescuing the remaining victims.

He added that two of the gang members escaped with one of the victims whose name was yet unknown.
