Police hunt for kidnappers of Catholic priests in Anambra

A police manhunt is on to find the people behind the abduction of two catholic priests in Anambra.

The parish priest of St Theresa’s in Umueze-Anam, Rev Fr Peter Nwachukwu and his assistant, Rev Fr Cajetan Apeh were abducted on December 24 and rescued three days later.

The state police spokesman, SP Haruna Mohammed, the kidnapped priests were freed in a combined raid with sister agencies in the state, stressing that the men were in stable condition.
