The guardians of two people accused of killing a labourer in Karsana district of Abuja are among five people so far arrested by the police in connection with the case.

City & Crime had reported on Wednesday how some security guards working at an auto workshop in an area opposite Kubwa Expressway in Abuja, tortured one Abdullahi Isa to death while on his way back to his site, close to them.

The deceased, a stammerer, reportedly sustained three fractures on his legs and several bruises on his body due to the torture from the suspects who allegedly tied him up.

Speaking yesterday, an uncle of the deceased, Lawali Isa, said the police were able to arrest one of the suspects, known as Idris Dokto, in the morning of the incident.

“The suspect was the one that named the others, and so far two other people, namely Habu Maigashi and Muktari Brother, have been arrested by the police,’’ he said.

He said an elder brother of one of the fleeing suspects, named Sunny, and the father of anoth-er suspect, one Yusuf, were also being detained by the police.

The auto workshop where the suspects worked as security guards was still sealed when City & Crime visited yesterday.

There was no response from the FCT police command on the incident as at press time yester-day.
