The police in Osun state on Monday stopped the revolution protest in Osogbo.
Daily trust reports that some of the protesters were arrested by the men of Osun State Police Command at the popular Olaiya junction.
The leader of the protesters, Comrade Olawale Adebayo said the spate of joblessness, insecurity and hunger in the country warranted their call for revolution.
He added that the estimated electricity billing, epileptic power supply, destruction of farms by herdsmen have become unbearable.
He also said that they were not happy that Osun state government imposed levies on artisans, Okada riders, drivers and traders in the state.
“We hereby maintain that we have inalienable constitutionally and fundamental right to peacefully protest this inadequacies,” he said.
