The police in Niger State have foiled a kidnap attempt in Tuniko community in Mokwa LGA of Niger State.
Spokesman of police command, DSP Wasiu A. Abiodun, told our reporter through telephone on Monday that the incident happened on Saturday around 11pm.

He said after a resident alerted the police about gunshots suspected to be by kidnappers, Mokwa Division’s men and vigilantes were drafted to the area to comb a nearby forest which led to the arrest of a suspect, Mohammed Bello, from a neighbouring village, Bate-Ukpo, adding that a locally made gun was recovered from him.
He further said, “It was during interrogation that the suspect confessed that he conspired with Dogo Yellow and Dogo Mai-Saje, both presently at large, to kidnap a person in the village.”
