Bauchi State Police Command has embarked on mass campaign on the use of facemasks, the ban on tricycle riders ban, and social distancing by commercial vehicles and tricycles to mitigate community transmission of COVID-19 in the state.
State commissioner of Police Lawan Jimeta led other senior Police Officers, Sister Security Agencies and Senior Government officials to some major streets in carrying out the sensitization campaign within the metropolis to strengthen preventive measures against the dreaded Coronavirus.
The commissioner said the campaign is aimed at enlightening the general public on the measures and protocols put in place by the state government.
He advised residents of Bauchi not to see the measures, especially the ban on Okada operations and wearing of face masks as tasking, but a proactive move that would safeguard citizens from the imminent danger COVID-19.
