The Osun State Police Command has arrested and detained the founder of Oduduwa University, Ipetumodu (OUI), Dr. Ramon Adegoke Adedoyin and six others over the murder of a post graduate student of Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile-Ife, Osun State, Timothy Adegoke.
Adegoke who was a Masters Degree student of OAU came to Ile-Ife from Abuja to sit for his examination at the OAU distance learning centre, Moro, Osun State.

However, his whereabouts was unknown to his relations after the examination and he was declared missing on 7th November 2021.
Speaking on behalf of the Commissioner of Police in the state, CP Wale Olokode on Wednesday, the Police Public Relations Officer for Osun State Police Command, Yemisi Opalola, confirmed that that Adedoyin who is a popular businessman in the Ile-Ife was in police net over the death of Adegoke.
“In addition to the six suspects earlier arrested, the chairman of Hilton Hotel and Resort, Ile-Ife, Dr Ramon Adegoke Atobatele Adedoyin was also arrested. He is currently in police detention, undergoing interrogation in connection with the case, while awaiting the autopsy report from the hospital.”
