A 23-year-old man, Adewusi Habeeb, was on Wednesday arraigned before an Ile-Ife magistrates’ court in Osun State over an alleged attempt to commit felony.
The prosecutor, ASP Abdullahi Emmanuel, told the court that the defendant on January 26, around 2am at Unit 3, Block 3, Bada Elusade, Opa Street, Iloro, Ile-Ife attempted to commit felony when he was roaming about and could not give satisfactory account of what he was looking for in the area.
According to him, the offence contravened Section 509 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2002.
The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge, and the Magistrate, A. I. Sarumi, granted him bail in the sum of N50,000 with one surety in like sum and adjourned to February 20. (NAN)
