The Inspector-General of Police has filed a three-count criminal charge against a former governor of Imo State, Ikedi Ohakim, before an FCT High Court.
Ohakim, who was governor of Imo from 2007 to 2011, was accused of giving false information against one Chinyere Amuchienwa, that he gave her N100m for his 2019 governorship campaign.

The police also alleged that Ohakim used the name of the Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, as the owner of a plot of land in Ikeja, Lagos State.
