The Lagos Police Command has charged three suspects allegedly found with two locally-made cut-to-size single barrel guns and nine unexpended cartridges with unlawful possession of firearms.
The suspects, Toheeb Ajetunmobi, Abdullahi Yusuf and Rilwan Adewale, were charged before a Yaba Chief Magistrate Court on a four-count criminal charge of felony, unlawful possession of firearms, armed with intent to commit a felony and receiving stolen property.

The offence, according to the police, was committed on January 31, 2021, at about 5:30 am at Idi-Oro area of Mushin, Lagos.
The offences are contrary to Section 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The fourth accused person, Tope Aderinto, was alleged to have received one stolen Bajaj motorcycle from Toheeb Ajetunmobi thereby committing an offence contrary to Section 328(1) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2015.
The defendants pleaded not guilty to all the counts.
Magistrate E. Nwapa while delivering a bench ruling, admitted them to N300,000 bail with two sureties who must be gainfully employed and fixed trial for April 2.
