Operatives of the Ogun Police Command have arrested one Adesina Adebowale for allegedly raping a 60-years-old woman.
The suspect, aged 40, was arrested following a complaint lodged at Idanyin divisional headquarters in Ado Odo-Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, by the son of the victim.

The complainant told the police that his sexagenarian mother was in her apartment, when the suspect allegedly broke into the apartment, and forcefully had sex with her.
The Police Spokesman in the state, Abimbola Oyeyemi, told newsmen in Abeokuta, on Monday that following receipt of the report, the DPO Idanyin division, Olayinka Kuye, detailed his detectives to go after the suspect.
Oyeyemi said the suspect was subsequently traced and apprehended. He said the victim has been taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
According to him, the suspect has made confessional statement that he actually committed the crime.
Oyeyemi quoted the Commissioner of Police, Edward Awolowo Ajogun, had ordered the immediate transfer of the suspect to state Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, for further investigation and diligent prosecution.
