Police arrest woman supplying garri to kidnappers in Kwara

The police in Kwara State have arrested a woman, Mrs Abibatu Jimoh, for supplying kidnappers’ with garri and other food items.

Her arrest and that of three other male suspects, Abubakar Ibrahim, Mamud Ibrahim and Muhamed Kiri, was in connection with the kidnapping of the wife of an ex-Military Administrator of Bauchi and Osun states, Mrs Oladapo Jumoke Bamigboye.

The command’s spokesman, Ajayi Okasanmi, said, “Abibatu was discovered to be the supplier of garri and other food items with which victims of kidnappers are fed while in captivity.”

Meanwhile, Mrs Bamigboye has since been released after a ransom was paid, her husband, Col Theophilus Bamigoye (Rtd), has confirmed.
